May 2023 marks 38 years in business for us here at Bald Mountain Nursery. My parents, Richard and Cecilia Rice started the business in 1985. Richard Rice (Dad) passed away in 2005. Cecilia Rice (Mom) passed away in 2021. I started in the business in 1992 and have been fortunate enough to raise my son here and have him grow up around the business. He used to be here all the time as a kid and worked here too. Truly a family business.
Bald Mountain Nursery is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills in the small town of Browns Valley. We are located 15 miles from Marysville, CA, and approximately 20 miles from Grass Valley, CA.
We have over 5 acres of plants, many of which we grow at our location. We are a full-service nursery with a complete line of trees, shrubs, and roses for your landscaping needs. We also carry soil amendments and garden related products. We have helpful knowledgeable staff to assist you with all of your gardening and landscaping needs.
